The fall of Afghanistan to the Taliban in August 2021 has prompted a refugee crisis that has displaced more than 550,000. The U.S. has evacuated 75,000 Afghan allies and their families and has promised to provide refuge to thousands more. Oregon is expecting to resettle thousands of Afghan refugees in the next few months. The Afghan Support Network wants to ensure these new community members have the long-term support they need to succeed and thrive.
